Induction Application and Support Portal

Induction Overview

All  employees working at Kestrel Mine must have a valid site induction before starting work on-site . The induction sets the foundation of Kestrel Coal Resource’s commitment to the safety and wellbeing of all employees on-site.

The Surface Induction is completed as an external online course along with practical examples completed on-site.

The Underground Induction is completed as a combination of external online modules as well as additional online modules and practical examples completed on-site.

Induction Pre Requisites & Requirements

When applying for the Kestrel Site Induction, you will need to supply the following documentation.

Standard 11 Statement of Attainment

Units of competencies required:
RIICOM201, RIIERR205, RIIERR302, RIIGOV201 RIIWHS201, RIIRIS201 (RIIERR203 UG only)
(Passport Cards will not be accepted)

ID Documents

Colour copy of drivers licence (front & back)
Colour passport style photo (in JPEG or PNG format)

Underground Coal Mine Workers’ Health Scheme (formerly Coal Board Medical)

Must be signed and have chest x-ray & underground assessment noted on Section 4

Please note: There is a 21 day validity window for the inductee to complete the above outlined Induction Booking Process
